Rutherford County Habitat Homeowners

Here at RCHFH we are proud of our homeowners and their accomplishments. Feel free to read about our most recent homeowners, where they have been in their lives, and where they are headed.

Joe & Gwendylin Turner

The Turners will be the future homeowners of the THDA & State of TN sponsored home that is being built on State Street. This home will be the very first home they have ever owned. They have shared a life of love together, but they have longed for a place to call their own, a place where Marcie can enjoy cooking, a place where their four children and fifthteen grandchildren can fellowship together!

Shari Nelson

Shari is a native of Rutherford County and she is currently working at Yates to provide for her family. Nissan North America is sponsoring the home build for Shari and her children! “I want to thank EVERYONE who has been a part of my journey,” Shari told me with a big grin! “I want to thank everyone at Habitat for being kind, Nissan for sponsoring my home, and the volunteers who will help build it!”

Netana Smith
A single mother with a heart of gold, Netana has a deep gratitude for those who reach out. At the young age of 16 Netana was diagnosed with Leukemia and spent six months at the Ronald McDonald House in Nashville. That was the first of many obstacles she would have to overcome to get to where she is today. Netana's home will be the 2008 House of Faith.

Cindy Swader
Cindy Swader is a native of Murfreesboro and has called this little town home for forty-six years. What she has not been able to call her home is one of her own.  Speaking of the Habitat program she said "It is the first time in my life that I have actually felt special."

Norma and Roshunda Williams
Norma is sixty-two, has been in bad health since the age of eighteen, and relies on an oxygen tank to help her breathe. Roshunda is twenty-seven, has Albright’s Disease, and is unable to work due to her disability. This is a mother and a daughter who are both drawing disability, who walk everywhere they go, and who spend their days taking care of one another and serving the Lord.
